The Shetland Blues Festival are bringing The Offenders back to Shetland for a weekend of gigs at the start of June.
The Offenders impressed everyone who saw them at last years Shetland Blues Festival with their energy and mix of blues, funk, jazz and rock. The four piece have recently had to change drummers because Cat Myers has emigrated to Canada but their original drummer, Steve Harkin, has rejoined the band.
The Offenders have recently recorded a new three track EP which will be on sale at the gigs they are doing over the weekend.
Friday 4 June – Mid Brae Inn, Brae
Saturday 5 June – Lerwick Royal British Legion
Sunday 6 June – an afternoon session in The Lounge Bar, Lerwick.
Tickets for the Legion gig are £12 and will be available in advance from High Level Music or at the door on the night.
Support acts at the Saturday gig will be the Rumshack Blues Band, Donald Anderson Band and Brian Nicolson and friends will be starting the night with an acoustic set.
This will also act as a launch night for the build up to the 2010 Shetland Blues Festival.
