A huge amount of effort and countless hours of work go into each Shetland Blues Festival.
The festival committee would like to thank:

- John Jacobs of Vidlin Pottery, Shetland. Maker of the special Shetland Blues Festival pint pot.

- Bryan Peterson of Shetland Arts Trust for his expert advice.

- and all the volunteers who freely give their time and who provide us with valuable accommodation for our visiting musicians.

Could you be a volunteer?

Accommodation

One of the unique aspects of the Shetland Blues Festival is that the visiting musicians do not stay in hotels.
We place them with Shetland families to give them a REAL taste of Shetland.

Often, the host families will take them out to see other parts of Shetland and we know that the musicians really appreciate the kindness they receive here because some have returned later for a holiday.

We are always pleased to hear from local volunteers who can help accommodate the visiting artistes over the weekend of the festival.
If you can offer a bed and help look after one of the visiting performers then please contact the festival committee by email.

In return we can offer you an invitation to a special party on the Sunday night featuring several of the bands.

If you can’t offer accommodation, but wish to help in any other way, we will be very happy to hear from you.
